Kinnett Scholarships for College/Further Education

Since 2005, the NSSED Foundation has been helping to make the dream of college a reality for many students. The Kinnett Scholarship for College/Further Education, aimed at graduating seniors from NSSED-affiliated high schools*, grants $1,000 scholarships to:

1) Special Education students pursuing further education through college, vocation school, or post-secondary programs, or

2) Students planning on pursuing a college degree in Special Education.

The Kinnett Scholarship was established with a bequest to the NSSED Foundation from the estates of Francis and Betty Lou Kinnett--long time community members who shared a deep commitment to education.

2013 Kinnett Scholarship for College/Further Education (application deadline extended until Monday, April 1, 2013)

Kinnett Scholarships for College/Further Education were presented to six outstanding graduating high school seniors at the June NSSED Governing board meeting. The Governing Board also recognized the recipients of the Bill Charis Educator Fellowships and the Maggy Miller Vocational Scholarship.
